New Dog

A successor to Old Dog, whose battery eventually ballooned inside the device and popped the screen off.

Runs on a Raspberry Pi 3 kiosk connected to a 15.6" 1080p portable monitor. The display is a webpage built with Lit web components, backed by a Node.js API.

Shows family calendar events pulled from Google Calendar, birthday countdowns, sunrise & sunset times, and air quality index. Weather data comes from the OpenWeatherMap API. Fonts served via Typography.com.
